Express Card SSD for 2006 MBP 2,2

This MBP is old but it works fine. I would like to add a SSD. The HD is on SATA I (1.5 Gb/s). There is an ExpressCard Slot on the MBP that is PCI and has a speed of 2.5 Gt/s that equates to about 4 Gb/s.

Has anyone investigated adding a ExpressCard Slot SSD? Anyone have any thoughts on using one to boot?

They work great as a boot disk or a install drive... But they are getting very hard to find....
