I just finished requesting an express replacement for my cracked apple watch sport. I had to unpair the watch before the request could process because of Activation Lock. However now that the payment has been accepted and the replacement watch is on the way can I re-pair my broken watch until my new one comes in? Or will doing this somehow alert Apple and cancel my replacement? I would love answers from forum members who have had this experience.

I was asked to turn off find my iPhone to disable activation lock on the watch when they were setting up my express repair, but there's no way I was going to walk around with an iPhone that could be reset by a thief so I reenabled it as soon as I got off the phone with them. Replacement watch arrived without a hitch. I assume the same would be fine for pairing the watch as well.

Thank you very much for your reply. This is exactly what I was looking for
