I'm looking at two express card ssd's for my UMBP.

I've heard the faster of the drives is great but generates a lot of heat/thus uses a descent amount of energy. I only want this drive for storage space (music, movies, pictures) and am not too concerned about speed.

Curious would I get better battery life out of my mac with the slower drive than I would with the faster drive?

Thanks

Go larger for storage if you aren't concerned with speed. I'm looking at the 48 gb for it's faster speed to be used as a scratch drive with Final Cut Pro. (More power consumption isn't a concern for me since I'll be plugged in when using it.)
