Hi,
I want to hook up three USB cameras to my 17" macbook pro.
It has 3 USB ports but I was getting a not enough USB bandwidth notice when plugging 3 in. (2 was fine).
I was under the impression that by using a separate USB express34 card, this would solve the problem - providing extra bandwidth.
However it seemed to just use the same internal USB bandwidth... and didn't allow me to add that extra camera.
I contacted support...they said...
"E/34 adapters that provide USB functionality just extend USB channel provided on the E/34 interface (that comes from the motherboard chips) to a connector so the user can access it."
Useless.
So - does anyone know of a product that will actually provide it's own USB bandwidth, and not use that internal to the macbook?
Many thanks,
Digby
