ExpressCard/34 to USB adapter

Hi all,

I want to use my MacBook Pro's ExpressCard/34 slot to add more USB ports (NOT FireWire). I found this (2 USB for $52.99) and this (4 USB for $34.99). My question is, why is the 4 USB cheaper than the 2 USB? (Also, as the 4 USB widens as it protrudes, I am concerned that it might block off the headphone jack which it is next to.)
