ExpressCard Not Allowing MBP to Sleep

I have a 16GB ExpressCard/34 storage unit. For some reason, when the storage unit is in, and I close my laptop, it goes to sleep, wakes up, goes to sleep, wakes up, and so on.

Is there a way or some setting to just allow my MBP to just sleep with this ExpressCard inserted? It's really a pain to eject it when I'm using the data on the card and just need to close my laptop for a little while.

I found the solution here:

Basically, create a fake kext (device driver) file, and load that in to disable the USB polling.

Sleep now works with my MBP.
