Expresscards?

I have a nifty 17" I7 and could use another fire wire or a eSata port.
I have an external WD with 3 ports and it has a esata port.

Anyone have a expresscard they use on it? I was thinking of getting a esata card, is it that much better than a firewire 800 port?

which one do you rec?
