Quite unhappy with my Windows 7 LAN setup. We run a small office of 3 Macs and 1 Windows-Based server. Why? Well.. Cos of printers and sometimes we use it's help to render some stuff.

Anyway. Storage over LAN is ******. It is there, but most of time we can't copy files. Connection drops occasionally. Freezes and all. This error "Resource temporarily unavailable (35)" is not fun any more.

So I'm thinking of making a fresh install on the server. It's going to be an M$ box. But I'm not sure what partition to use. I'm thinking of ext2/3 maybe, but I'm unsure how it behaves. Won't we run onto the permission problems or any other kind?

Don't really wanna waste time on experimenting. Would much appreciate any advice given. Thanks.
