"Extend a wireless network" or "Participate in a WDS network"????

I'm extending my Airport Extreme router with an Airport Express. In the Airport Utility I am given these options:

"Extend a wireless network"
"Participate in a WDS network"

Which one should I choose and why?

I dunno but just use the Extend a Wireless Network.

What airport express do you have?

I have the older b/g airport express and the only options I have is turn off, participate in wds, or join wireless network.

Usually I would think extend would pop up only if you had the airport express connected through wire to the airport extreme.
