Hey peoples.

I have the latest AEBS dual mode. I want to use my previous non-dual N AEBS as an extension to the dual, but I want to run it in N mode only. When I set the non-dual up in bridge mode, Airport Utility won't let me choose which radio mode to use. Is there a way to set up an extended network which uses N only on the extension?

Thanks!

What if you don't select bridge mode and make it create a new network but name the network the same name as your initial network... they should merge.

If you go ahead an extend it, does it use 802.11n?

Then you'd have two different but overlapping wireless networks, with one leading nowhere. To do this, you'd need to run a cable between the LAN ports on the units and disable DHCP on the non-Internet connected device.
