Hi!

Is it possible to extend a software raid 0 (built by disk utility)? Let's say I have already a raid 0 with two disks and want to add a third disk.

Is this possible without loosing/evacuating my data?

Thanks!

So - because I'm loosing to much storage with raid 1 or raid 10........ and raid 5 is't available in software (isn't it??), whats about JBOD (concatenated disks)?

Does someone have experiences with it? Can I extend a software JBOD? "Extend" in terms of 1) replacing smaller disks with bigger ones and 2) adding new disks if I have still disk bays free.

Example:
Bay 1: 320GB system and boot volume - should stay alone
Bay 2: 500GB - part of a JBOD
Bay 3: 1TB - part of a JBOD
Bay 4: empty

What if I want to add another 1TB disk to bay 4 or if I want to replace the 500GB disk in bay 2 with a 1TB disk?

Thanks again,
