I've seen my order for a Pro Max slip from Sept 26 -> Sept 29th -> Oct 1 -> Oct 3rd -> Oct 7th.

Obviously prior to October 1 anything involving customs at the US border wouldn't have been an issue but from the Apple Store it would appear things haven't even shipped. A couple of week delay in the grand scheme is a solid "who cares" in my book but I am starting to wonder if there might be something larger impacting shipments.

Good to compare notes.
 
I preordered a blue 17 pro max on September 16th to replace a silver 17 pro max that gets a worse signal (-dBm) than my iPhone 16 pro max. My delivery window has been October 8th - October 15th and its just stuck on processing

i mean.... normally that's nothing to worry about. typically you get your shipping notice (and marked shipped) the day before since they ship overnight. The worry for you starts if you don't have shipped by the 14th/doesn't arrive by the 15th.

i just want to know why there's NO blue available in ANY apple store in the whole US!! (based on looking at in store stock availability).
 
^. Most probably Blue is barely existent for the most part, and I ordered a Blue 17 Pro Max… is that there’s no black graphite this year and folks are stuck with Blue if you want a dark color. Ridiculous decision by the experts at Apple. 🙄

Same goes for silver and cosmic orange in my area. Basically non existent
 
As of this morning, I can get an orange Pro 512GB at my local store and a 256GB at a further away but still within reasonable driving distance store. All of the other colors are for delivery on 10/22 and beyond. I have a 256GB blue 17 Pro on order with a date of 10/16.

I went to mine a few days ago, and while they had no Pro or Pro Max available for pick-up online, they had every single configuration and color in stock besides the silver 1TB Pro and Pro Max. Once stock gets below a certain level, it will not be available for pick-up, but stores will still have them. My store cuts off once they have 5 or below, however it’s a smaller store and bigger stores may have higher cutoff points.

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed on October 1st that it remains operational during the shutdown. All ports of entry are staffed, and cargo processing is proceeding as normal."

No. I live over an hour away AND i want to buy it via the veteran's store for the 10% discount off both phones. Last time I asked for the discount in store I had to buy online for in store pick up... so don't want to drive over and hour to fiddle out there's none in stock AND no discount. I mean we don't really need them... we have 16 pro (him) max (me)... we wanted them strictly to get the new colors after seeing them.
 
Update, nothing received yet, last reschedule was pushed to October 31st. Really wondering what the hold up is.
