I have a 2011 iMac 27" that I wish to connect to a 19" monitor that I have nice and handy. I figure the best way to do this will be with a mini displayport/DVI connection using an adapter like this one.
Is Thunderbolt too fussy to allow something like this to work? Is DVI the right medium for this sort of thing, or do I have to use the VGA port on the back of the monitor? Will I be limited to just a mirrored image on the extra monitor, or will I get an ultra sexy extended desktop?
Cheers!
lol never mind... I need to learn to use google before I post a thread here.
