My 1 year of having the 2G iphone is about up, is it worthwhile to extend the warranty for a second year for $79? I've had no problems with phone and am a moderate user, I recharge every other day. I understand the battery replacement is the same price as the extended warranty.
Thanks, davidw111

I'd say it's definitely worth it. Unless you're looking for a reason to upgrade to a 3G, I'd go for it. You never know when something may fail on your phone. $79 vs. $299. Your call.

I would agree. It is definitely worth it. Apple has been great when it comes to my products being under their warranty. As long as its not BAD physical damage they may even help you out if that were the case but for 79 dollars to extend the warranty another year is a no brainer.

Thanks, to all who responded, I just placed order with Apple, however I seem to of been wrong, the price was $69 (not $79) for AppleCare Protection Plan.

Another option is squaretrade.com. With coupon codes you can get a warranty for under $100 with accidental damage coverage which AppleCare does not provide.
