I know the new N standard allows for network extensions without WDS. I am currently doing this:

Time Capsule ----> Airport Extreme

I am getting a great connection with this, but wanted to add another Airport Extreme to connect my office printers and harddrives. I have selected the option to extend the network again, but I get this:

Time Capsule ------> Airport Extreme
|_____> Airport Extreme

This would normally be okay, but the second Extreme has a really low connection to the Time Capsule. I would like to do this:

Time Capsule -----> Airport Extreme -----> Airport Extreme

Is this possible without WDS?

Any suggestions or was I not clear enough on what I wanted to do?

Hmmmm, guess I will go back to the drawing board.

You can use an Airport Express to extend your wireless network. And it does have a USB port, so you can hook your printer to it!
