Does anyone know if you can extend Applecare out even further like you can with Dell's? So my Applecare is up in February...I can double up on AC for another 3 years?
I'm looking to sell my MBP next month to a friend, and while I haven't had any major problems with it in the last 6 month or so and even though the warranty goes until Feb, I would feel like a heel if they dropped a grand on a system that all of a sudden started to have problems.

PS- I did do some searches. didn't find anything.

Nope, once AC is up, Apple does not offer any extension.

No extensions for AppleCare, but you can buy insurance after that if you want. AFAIK with Dells you can only extend up to 5 years anyways and it's very expensive.

If you purchased initially with a major credit card, you may already have effectively added an extra year onto the warranty.

Once it's finished, it's finished i'm afriad sorry!

Then again, nower days people dont tend to keep there systems for 3 years

Even if there well, a lot of people tend to upgrade anyway.
