Warning: be careful. Only do this with those extensions that support more recent versions of firefox.

(Back up your profile just in case it mess up anything)

firefox 3 has quite a few betas, nightlies, if you test them very often, chances are, you have beta5pre today, and your old extensions who support beta4 suddenly aren't working anymore. Since essentially there is little change in one day. you can try to disable compatibility check.

1. type "about:config" in url bar and press enter, accept waring if you are using firefox 3
2. right click anywhere inside the browser, and choose "new->boolean"
3. type in extensions.checkCompatibility for "preference name"
4. pick "false" for value

Again, be careful.
