I'm looking for an exterior light timer that preferably works with HomeKit, if not, at least one that works with an iOS App.
Any recommendations?

You don’t need a timer. With HomeKit, you can set the light to go on or off at any time using automations. For example, I have a hue flood light over my garage. I set it up to go on to 100% at sunset, dim to 25% at 1am, go up to 100% when motion is detected by my camera from 1am to sunrise and dim back to 25% after 10 minutes from the time the motion was detected and then turn off completely at sunrise. You can do this with a smart switch/dimmer hooked up to that light as well without needing smart bulbs.

This is for my outside Christmas lights. I want to be able to control them using my iPhone or iPad.
Right now, they just plug into the outside outlet, which is not controllable via HomeKit, as far as I know.

Are there outlets that are controllable via HomeKit & usable outside (installed into an exterior rated electrical box)?

Yes there are two that I know of.
iHome makes one with single outlet (I have this one for my landscape lighting) which you can set up with scenes and automations as well. The other one is iDevices and has a dual outlet. Either one will set you back ~40 bux

Has iHome updated the firmware on the isp100 recently? I want to start using it for my landscape lighting transformer but I was annoyed before when it wouldn’t reconnect for HomeKit automatically after an internet outage or the router restarted.

Haven’t seen an update for the firmware but it has been reconnecting on its own lately after resetting my network. Last three times that I can remember. Only thing that changed was that I connected my eero system to HomeKit Routers, but I doubt that’s what did it. Despite it working better, I’m actually planning on picking up the Meross outdoor outlet. HomeKit support and has two individually controlled outlets
