Has anyone succeded in finding a working battery pack for the new Ipad? I have the Just Mobile Gum Pro (old, plastic black version), and while it works fine for the iPhone 4 I have, I can't get it to charge the new Ipad - it shows Not Charging and the internal battery is draining. Do you know of any (relatively cheap) alternative which is working with the new iPad?

Many thanks!

thanks, have you tried this with the new iPad and does it charge fine?

i have used it for about a year with ALL my devices works great even with the new iPad, i havent let my new ipad get that low to see how many time i can charge it but got 2 full charges with the ipad 2 its a great device to have. and a great price compared to some i see out there they come in 4800mah and a 6600mah but i went with the 11200mah

Why carry this when a wall charger and cord weight MUCH less?

Not many wall chargers on a plane, in an airport, on a train, on a bus, in a train station, in the field, in customer meetings in unfamiliar buildings, in class, etc. etc. etc.

just bought the TeckNet 7000mAH external USB battery for my ipad 2 and phone from Amazon. not too sure if it does the new Ipad though

I have an Aluratek 5000 mAh battery pack, mainly keep it with me for times when I forget to plug in my smartphone at night and end up having to grab the battery pack with me to work and charge on the go. For the iPad it rarely leaves the house. If I do go overseas I am sure I would bring it along just in case.

I've seen a 11000 mAh battery pack go for $79 at BB so it's a good deal if you can make use of it.

I had a newtrent 5000 mAh battery pack before, but after 2yrs it no longer held a charge. I was able to charge my then iPhone 4 at least two full charges. I doubt it would be able to charge my iPad from 0 to 100% though, perhaps a 30% charge.
