Whats a cheap and reliable external burner for a Macbook. I was thinking under 50 dollars (Bills to pay)

wow you guys are losers.... if you cant help dont respond. I got a Lite-On external burner for 55 on newegg 3 days ago, i merely wanted to ask for external burners under the threshold I have found.

Had terrible luck with Lite-On products, had 4 of their burners die in our office about a year or so ago. Of course, all out of warranty. One cooked a firewire port too we believe. Also, they seem to be touchy with what disks you use, we had many failed burns and disks that wouldn't mount afterwards. Vowed never to buy their products again.

I hope you have better luck though. :)

I had lite-on burners for around 8 years no problems. I have around 5 in my PC's, still good.
