Hi all. I'm looking to put an 80gb IDE HDD into an external case for use with my iBook and I need your input.

I'm currently leaning towards an enclosure with both USB 2.0 and Firewire. Is there any real benefit to having both? Would I be better off just choosing one over the other?

The enclosure I'm currently eyeballing is:Metal Gear Box II

Does this look like a decent enclosure for the money? Can any of you suggest a better enclosure, either performance or looks wise, that is within the $25-$35 range?

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input! I just placed the order for the case you suggested (it's nice that it's fanless).

Thanks for your time.

i'm not sure if this is right, but i think powerpc macs (including your ibook) are not able to boot from external usb drives. so if possible, stick to firewire.
