External CD/DVD drive for ripping audio

Hey guys

Just registered after a long time of lurking and helping out over at HoFo. Anyways, my year old MBP's cd/dvd drive is starting to...burn out on me. I have already cleaned it with a lens cleaner and blew canned air into it.

Currently, I do not have time to drive over 2-3 hours away to an apple store, so I am looking for an external cd/dvd drive for ripping AUDIO cds. I do not watch dvds that often, so the drive would be primarily for audio.

I have looked on OWC's website and although the ones I see there are in my price range, I wanted to get some people's feedback here.

Bump this up for the day. Just wanted to throw in that I'm not interested in portability, leaning more towards power and speed. I'd prefer to have something that will last.

tbh any USB drive will work, they're just plug and play, OSX will recognize it as a CD drive and so will iTunes

Oh yea I am not worried about compatibility, I am just wanting to get some opinions from you guys about which external cd/dvd drive, on the market, is good.

I have read around and I know that LG and Samsung are good brands, just wanted to see what else you guys recommend
