I just received my la cie d2 52x cd burner and it does not work with itunes -- toast works fine. Every time I try to burn a disk in itunes (at any speed) I get this error message:

Disc burning failed because an unknown error occurred (0x80020022).

Anyone else have any problems like this?

Say that again?

If you don't already have Mac OS X 10.2.6 and iTunes 4.01 installed, do that first. Also, download the latest firmware off Apple's website for your model machine and install. (You may have the latest, but confirm it.)

How is your CD-RW being hooked up? USB or Firewire? Are you using a hub? Are you using the proper encoding (AIFF CD or .mp3 CD)? Are you trying to burn .m4p audio files (files you downloaded from the Music Store) to a CD through iTunes and not through Toast?

First, update your software and firmware. Then try using different songs in iTunes or even songs directly copied and uncompress off an Audio CD. Try burning uncompressed audio (even just one song) and see if it works.
