External disk not showing?

I have a Western Digital USB 3.0 drive, and it does not show up at all. I tried disk utility and it does not show it?

I am new to OSX, but googling is not helping. I need to get my files over, how can I get it to work?

It is a Western Digital SE 1TB 3.0 drive. Works fine on my windows system.
