External disk USB not identified by Mac

Im a new Macbook user after working with Linux and W2k in my old Dell Inspiron. I have my old HD in a USB case but there is a problem, Mac only recognize the Windows partition and not the Linux part. What is the problem ? What I have to do to use the disk? :confused:
