this is my first post on this forum, and I am not 100% sure this is the right place. So I apologixe in advance if it is not.
I have a problem with my BMP (Dec 2006), and wanted to ask the community advise.
The problem has to do with a Lacie portable external disk, which keeps disappearing after being connected (via Firewire, btu also on USB with dual connector) for a while. Specifically, after being connected for a while, tehe fan starts and, after a while, the disk disappears. It is annoying because this often leads to failures in transferring large files, which I do not at present how to transfer.
I have tried reinstalling Leopard, and working on the PMU, but nothing really changed. I suspect the cause is a power breakdown, possibly triggered by the fan, but wanted to ask for similar problems and possible solutions.
Has anyone suffered, or is suffering, similar problems?
