Hi all,

I've got an external display (LG 34UC97) plugged in via Thunderbolt to my 2013 Retina MacBook Pro (with GTX750) and while it supports 60Hz fine when plugged in, once I put the MacBook to sleep then have it resume from sleep, the max refresh rate that the display will work at is only 30Hz.

When I go into System Preferences > Displays > Display (tab), the Refresh Rate dropdown menu is grayed out and 30Hz is the only option. Once I disconnect the display and plug it back into the MacBook, it will then continue working at 60Hz, and going back to the System Preferences panel's dropdown menu will allow me choices of 30, 50, and 60Hz.

Any idea on how to have the display continue to work at 60Hz after resuming sleep without having to replug the display in every time?
(I don't so much mind the physical act of replugging, the more annoying part for me is it messes up my window sizing and placement)

thanks!

EDIT: it appears this problem only happens when the MacBook is in clamshell/lid closed mode. It remains in 60Hz after resuming sleep fine if the lid is open (I still really want it to work in clamshell mode though)
