I have a 15" MBP 6,2 and a 27" LED Cinema Display.
I have the following use case scenarios:
I can switch from 1 to 2 fairly easily with the Detect Displays function.
But switching from 2 to 1, I have to close my lid, wait for it to sleep, then wait for it to wake up again, then open my lid so that it won't overheat. Isn't that kind of counter productive? Considering in Boot Camp I can simply press Windows+P and select external display?
Isn't there a simpler way of going from 2 to 1?
I have the following use case scenarios:
- Using only the external display, with the notebook display open for heat dissipation
- Using the external display, extending onto the notebook display for music, RSS etc
