Hi there,

My son will be using an iPad A16 for his studies, and I’d like to connect a 27" external monitor to make things more comfortable for him.

I’ve read that 4K displays don’t always work that well with iPads, and that in some cases, a 2K monitor might actually perform better. Is that true?

I understand that a 5K display would offer the best experience, but it’s just too expensive right now.

Would it be a big issue to go with a 2K display that has 109 PPI, compared to a 4K display with 163 PPI?

Also, is there anything else I should keep in mind when choosing a monitor for the iPad?

Thanks!
