I have a Macbook Pro 2018 i9 with Radeon Pro 555x. I currently use a 27 inch 2560x1440 display in native resolution. Things work fine. I am considering getting a larger display (Dell U4021QW). I am trying to figure out if my MBP would offer Retina scaling options (Bigger Text -> More Space type) for this display. I would want to scale the text on Dell 40 inch because 138 ppi will make the text too small for my eyes. Is there a way to figure this out without actually buying and hooking up the said display? If MBP doesn't offer the Retina scaling option, I will be forced to use a lower display resolution to make the text readable ... I don't want to do that. I will instead get a lower resolution display and save some money.
