Hi guys,

I have a slight problem I hope you can help me with: I plugged in my old external Samsung monitor (Samsung S27a950d) to my RiMac primarily for gaming. I recently buyed GTA V and can't stand how grainy it looks playing it on the iMac on lower than 4k resolution, which isn't possible if you want to play with decent fps. I plugged in the monitor and chose it's native resolution (1080) and started the game: it looks grainy as if I'm playing the game on a lower than native resolution. I tried connecting it to my TV and the same problem reappred. The game looks worse compared to when I played it on the PS4, and I can assure you that the PS4 version didn't look bad at all.

Is the cable/adapter possibly the problem? I used a DVI cable when connecting it to the Samsung monitor and an HDMI cable to the TV (with a Mini DisplayPort adapter inbetween, of course).
