Hey!
I have a mid 2011 MacBook air, 11'' i7 1.8ghz, and i was trying to connect it to a monitor I bought, Samsung S27D360 (27" led monitor). With hdmi (with thunderbolt end) there is no way to make it work (flickers heavily and then turns off after 5seconds. For vga (with adapter) it is little better, but flickers often and turns black sometimes (from every minute to every 10m, don't know depending on what) for a couple of seconds, then turns back on. Still, with some programs (like excel) it turns off immediately and signal is lost.
Any ideas on how to make it work decently?

Having the same issue

I just bought a Samsung S27D360 and a Macbook air early-2014 and I'm seeing the same thing. I have a thunderbolt to hdmi adapter connected to hdmi cable and to the back of the monitor. What the heck?
