Hi,

Simple problem that I'm not able to resolve. I run ML and I just bought an external display (Dell U2312). Since I don't feel like buying a new trackpad and a wireless keyboard, I would like to keep using my MBP keyboard and trackpad. But I also want to shut off my internal screen so I can save some energy and avoid heat problems. How can I do this ? I tried all I could with the preferences options (mirror, not mirror) and I tired with the CTRL+ALT+Eject command : failed.

Anybody could give me a hand on this ? That would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't know for sure if this will work with ML, but it does with Snow Leopard so I assume it will...

When I connect my (closed) Macbook to my Cinema Display, the CD turns on as the primary screen. If I open the laptop after that, the screen is blank and the keyboard/trackpad are functional.

Thanks, but it doesn't work. The screen isn't blank when I reopen it. I guess it's impossible to do it then, unless I put a little magnet on the MBP to trick the screen.
