Hi,
When I was on 10.10.0 I would set a wallpaper from InterfaceLIFT on my MacBook when it was using the built in retina display. When connecting the MacBook in clamshell mode to a 1080p external display, it would easily display a resized-to-fit version of the same wallpaper. And when disconnecting and using just the laptop screen, it would display the retina version of the wallpaper again.
However since the 10.10.2 update, whichever screen I last used to set the wallpaper is the only one that will accept it.
i.e. if I set the retina version of a wallpaper, it will show up when I'm using the MacBook on its own but the wallpaper will be the default Yosemite wallpaper on the external display. And vice versa, so if I set the 1080p version of the wallpaper via the external display, the MacBook when on its own automatically reverts to the default Yosemite wallpaper. Plugging the MacBook back in to the external display shows the wallpaper that I set.
tl;dr: Wallpapers are different on external display and built-in screen, with either one resorting to the default Yosemite wallpaper when a custom one is set on the other.
This was working fine before so I'm curious as to why it's not working now and if there is a way to fix it?
Thanks!
