Hello again everyone.

I have an external display setup on my MacBook right now. Is it possible to use 1 screen (the external display) and turn the MacBook's screen off?

Just turn the macbook lcd display brightness down as low as it will go and the screen will turn black.

Yes, but then that monitor will still be active. I don't want it to be.

I would like to have 1 monitor; the external one.

Yes. Close your macbook (when connected to the display) and wake it with an external mouse or keyboard. Your external monitor is now your main display.
