External drive choice

hi there just got a MacBook Pro and I'm wanting to get myself a usb cd/dvd drive is the official Apple item any better than a£25 Ebay item?

Just about any USB optical drive will work. this one is pretty popular and will do everything the Apple Superdrive does for a lot less money. I don't see any reason to pay more for the Apple version.

Apple SuperDrive is expensive with good compatibility. The third-party item is cost-effective with more choice.

I will be buying a superdrive at the end of January once the Christmas-New Year rush is over. The one Weaselboy suggests is not available in Sweden, but I will shop around anyway.
