I want to get a 4 slot SATA drive enclosure (FW800) that can do a hardware mirror (raid 1) of two pairs of drives (so two logical volumes, each mirrored on two drives).
Then I want to9 be able to unplug the 2nd disk of the mirror sets, taken them offsite for safety and plug in two new drives to rebuild the mirror.
That way I have 3 drive redundancy for each volume, with one offsite.
Doesn't have to be hot swap, but wouldn't mind that too.
Probably too soon to hope for a thunderbolt version...
