External drive for media cache files?

Would this drive be a good one to put media/disk cache files on while editing in Premiere and After Effects on my late 2015 2017 fully specced 1TB ssd iMac?

Anyone have any experience with setting up media caches in regard to HDDs or SSDs? Or would the 1TB SSD internal be OK to house media cache while current project media is on there?
