So I have 100gb of music. I keep my music on an external drive, sometimes connected to my Airport, sometimes connected to my MacBook Air via USB. I also have iTunes Match.

Sometimes I have my MBA at home with access to the drive and sometimes I do not. To deal with this it seems I must have two separate "iTunes Library.xml" files, one with connections to the actual files and one empty in order to function with Match while away.

If I am wrong about this, please inform me of what to do. Because my goal is to not have two libraries - to have my MBA intelligently "see" that when away the file is not accessible so it will stream from Match. Further, when it is connected to the external it will play from there, add new songs there, delete songs I request from there, etc.

Any help?
