The OWC Mercury On-The-Go outboard enclosure with the original 5400 rpm 320 GB Fujitsu HDD from my Early 2009 17" 2.66 GHz MBP doesn't show up in Finder.

Neither does it show up as a Startup Disk option in System Preferences.

Nor does it show up when I do the "hold option key" routine during startup.

When connected via USB, the ENCLOSURE name does show up in System Profiler under USB.
When connected via FW800, the DRIVE name does show up in System Profiler under Firewire!

I'm going to look in this drive's Time Machine backup to find the apps I'd like to use to clean out duplicate files, etc from my current 7200 rpm/SS Momentus hybrid 500 GB bootdrive.

I'd still like the original drive to be usable though.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Any fixes or workarounds?

Thanks!

Greg
