External Drive Quesiton

I have an external drive that I can easily connect to my MBP. But, I want to try to connect it to a PC. How will I do it? I am trying to plug it in but it isn't really working. Is there something I need to install?

How is the HD formatted? Plug it in to your PowerBook, open Disk Utility, select the drive, and look towards the bottom to see what the format is.
