I have a 500gb external firewire drive that I leave connected to my iMac's firewire 800 port but only switch on when I need it. Lately it has been refusing to mount if the computer has been on or idle for a while. I always mounts after I restart the computer but that's annoying. Has anyone had any experience with this? I've searched but found nothing.
