External Drive?

Hi.... I'm confused as to what sort of drive I need whether that's RAID, USB, FireWire? bottom line, Id like a drive that is fast enough to work from (directly) but that can also be synced to the cloud (Dropbox or similar)...... Frok my understanding it's not possible to do this?

I basically need an external drive that acts like an internal drive.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Get a USB 3.0 drive. You could then manually copy whatever files you keep on the external hard drive to your Dropbox (or Google Drive, iCloud Drive, etc.) folder on your Mac. Or you could use something like CarbonCopyCloner to do the copying automatically at a scheduled time.
