I just purchased a MacBook and love it! The only problem is I didn't get the writable DVD drive in it because I just got the lower end MB. Now I'm kicking myself for it b/c iDVD looks so cool and I could use to burn DVD's to use in my classroom (1st year teacher). Any tips for an external dvd purchase? I've seen the one on the Apple website but it has mixed reviews. I've also looked at Best Buy but I'm not sure if they are compatible with Apple. Thanks for the help.

I have a laCie that I'm very happy with. It's sort of big but there's a newer, smaller version available.

I've burned over 100 DVD data discs and about that many CD data discs without any problems.
