Can anyone recommend a reliable external DVD burner for my macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. I was currently using an Asus which I've had since 2016 but its now giving me grief! Is LG a reliable brand? I live in Australia so some popular brands in the US are not available here.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Samsung Ultra Portable 8x USB 2.0 that I've had for at least 5 years and it's still going strong. They don't make it anymore though, but I believe it was about $25USD. I'm going to bet that LG brand is probably a great choice.

Just a thought, but you might consider a CD/DVD/BluRay burner that also has M-Disc capabilities.

They cost a little more, but you'll then have "all the options" in one device...

I purchased an LG GP60NB50 which has M-Disc capability. A$49, couldn't be happier. Thanks for the input Namara and Fishrrman.

My previous Mac Pros had internal Optical drives, the 2019 Mac Pro does not 👎 I am using this Asus drive:

So far it has worked perfectly.
