Hi,
I need some help in finding an external DVD burner for my Macbook 1.83GHz. I heard that iDVD doesn’t work with a lot of burners.
Also, I’m looking for one under $100.

Thanks

Buy an internal 5.25" DVD±RW drive (~$50), then buy a 5.25" enclosure(~$35). I'd recommend getting a FW/USB2.0 enclosure, it's worth the extra cash. If iDVD doesn't see it, download 'Patchburn' (free download) and all should be peachy.

It's awesome how cheap DVD-+RW drives have become these days - now we just need the BRD and HD-DVD ones to come down in price.

I use an external LG drive. I got it from Best Buy on sale some time ago. I saw they have a similar model on sale this week, for less than $100. Mine works without any problems.
