I have my old usb 2.0 external case and am wondering if I buy an internal dvd burner, looking at the nec dual layer, for like $75 can I throw it in there and will it work on a mac? I know an external hard drive works but wondering if this will work as well. thanks

c'mon, someone must have some idea about this, its not too complex...if I have toast titanium it should work right? or it a driver problem?
it should work... i have an NEC dual layer burner in an enclosure, except I'm using firewire, USB2 should be no different
the only problem you may run into is that disc burner may not recognize it, nor will iTunes, so you'd have to use toast for all your burning, which is what i do anyways, so it isnt an inconvience
