Traveling The World
Hello,

I live in the UK, and have PowerBook G4 (upgrading to MBP when new OS launches), and the DVD Drive is set to R2.
I know that you get 5 changes to change the region of the drive before its locked.

I have family in the America who send me DVDs thats won't be released in the UK for a while. Now some of these DVDs (Lost, and most recently The Devil Wears Prada) won't play using VLC Player.
I've tried to put them onto my iPod/iTunes by using HandBrake and MacTheRipper, and they still won't work.

So...
Could I buy an external DVD drive (R2) for my mac, and change the external drives region code to (R1) to play the DVDs that won't work?

If so can anyone suggests a make/model. My town doesn't have any computer stores, and the nearest PC World/Currys is 60miles away.

If not, can anyone suggest any other ways i could watch/get the movies onto my mac?

THANKS
