While I'm asking questions anyway...

I have a dual 2.5GHz Powermac G5. Its superdrive cannot be switched to regionless with my level of computer skill without a Windows PC. I have absolutely no access to any Windows PCs, or even Intel Macs, I can use to flash my drive.

Could anybody recommend an external solution which will let me watch region 2 discs without setting my internal drive to region 2? I need that region 1 for various reasons, since I can't make it region free.

I have been using VLC to play region 2 discs previously but it's become worse and worse with each version and now I simply cannot get them working most of the time. If there's another software solution (Mplayer and VLC are both not coping with modern discs) I'm interested in that too!
