Come to that it doesn't read either.
I bought a LiteOn DVD multi-recorder after my Matshita finally gave up completely recently.
At the time I was having huge troubles with Leopard crashing all the time and all my USB drives seemed to be very problematic, so I thought to myself wait 'til 10.5.2 comes out and all may well be fixed.
10.5.2 came out.
All my troubles were fixed. Yay! Go Apple!
All except this DVD drive. Am I simply asking too much?
The model number is LiteOn DX-20a3p (USB Only - no firewire option, external power supply connected). It reads CDs and CD-ROMs just fine, but when you put a DVD in it revs up to a million RPM and Finder become quite unresponsive (like it's really trying!) then nothing. If you switch the drive off, finder shows the disc name momentarily before it disappears.
Any help much appreciated
